Day One

For our first day of school, we read The Kissing Hand.
Most of our activities today revolved around the story.First we had snack and then went outside.

The students decorated a frame for their special kissing handprint.

Today's color to learn is red.
Ask me how to spell it!

All of the students will have a color packet to work on this week.

Each student has their own clothespin to go on the discipline chart.

A.'s clothespin color is brown.

This is our discipline chart.
All clothespins begin the day on the happy face.

For the month of August, the pattern is AB.
From the Kissing Hand theme, we used hearts and hands to make
the patterns on the rug.
Everyone had a chance to place a pattern piece on.

More patterning.

Lots of Kissing Hand folder games.
A nd J are working on color words.

F and L are playing a dice game.

R and G are playing a number match game.
MM and F are playing a tic tac toe game.

Today's number is zero. L is working on his number packet,
which we will continue all week.

D is getting ready to play with some unifex cubes to make the AB pattern.
